Introducing Our Wetland Restoration Partners

Tyee with Ally, Elodie and Tom

Stqeeye’ would like to introduce our newest partners on the Wetland Restoration Project. Our Team includes some fantastic people from across our region who are passionate about Wetlands. Elodie Roger from Origin Environmental Services hails from Duncan and has worked extensively with Cowichan Tribes on local wetland restoration projects. She brings with her British Columbia Conservation Foundation, a group that has been championing wetlands and rivers in BC since 1969. BCCF will be adding some exciting monitoring to the streams at Xwaaqw’um, including some fish monitoring that will tie in with the wider provincial fish monitoring work that they do. Redd Fish Restoration Society is based in Ucluelet BC, and has incredible experience and knowledge about the work we are trying to do in Xwaaqw’um. We are so incredibly grateful to have these brilliant folks all working on our restoration project.
