Sulsameethl is a Quw’utsun Elder, Knowledge Keeper, Researcher & Stqeeye' Learning Society Co-Manager. Sulsameethl’s wisdom and cultural knowledge guides the restoration of cultural and land restoration at Xwaaqw'um. Sulsameethl, an expert weaver, teaches cedar weaving at Xwaaqw'um Village. Sulsameethl’s history in the educational system and passion for mentorship informs her approach, she brings much needed matriarchal leadership to Stqeeye’ Learning Society. She has a diploma in public relations and sits on the Quw’utsun Cultural Connections and Elders in Residence for the Mill Bay Nature School. She and her husband Tousilum have been working on Cultural Sensitivity Training through A Journey of a Generation since 2006, both for Corporate and Institutional participants and in schools.
