Jennifer Aberle
Financial Coordinator
My origins are primarily from England, France & Germanic Europe decent. I was born in the Comox Valley, and this is where I’ve called home for that past 30 years. I respectfully acknowledge that the land I was raised and work on is on the Unceded Traditional Territory of the K'ómoks First Nation.
My parents started farming in the Comox Valley in the late 1980’s and continue to farm and produce fresh fruits and vegetables to this day. While the Comox Valley is beautiful and abundant, I ventured out to Calgary and Vancouver to pursue my education and gain work experience in other fields. I studied business and finance, and earned my bachelor’s degree in 2017. I have 10 years experience working in a finance and/or administrative role within multiple industries. Most recently, I spent that past four years working at a large national accounting firm.
Throughout much of my life I have balanced my love for numbers and structure, with my love for nature and sustainable agriculture. Each year from May – September I contribute to most aspects of my family farm. My love for nature, plants, and gratitude for our planet has all stemmed from working on the land at a young age.
Here at Stqeeye’ Learning Society I am thankful to be a part of such an impactful organization filled with amazing and knowledgeable team members.
